Scholarship
Alpha Phi stresses the importance of scholarship and academics during our college career. We strive to invite members who excelled in high school to continue within our chapter. We encourage our members maintain a high grade point average during their membership. Our members create a support system and are encouraged to form study groups with other women with the same major, frequently utilize the library, and strive for excellence during weekly competitions against other members. Our scholarship chair works hard to promote intellectual development by setting goals for individual members and rewards them upon achievement.
The Sharon Sigel Scholarship
The Beta Omega chapter is proud to have its own endowed scholarship known as the Sharon Sigel Scholarship. This scholarship rewards $500 each year to members who exemplify involvement in community service, show leadership in Alpha Phi as well as the Kent State University community.
